The Survey Protocol is the key quantitative component of the Transformational Safety® Integrated Safety Culture Assessment. By taking advantage of the powerful survey technologies developed by Transformational Safety® we are able to offer a product which is unparalleled in its ability to combine a high level of result certainty with an unprecedented analysis of safety leadership. The fact that we survey between 90-100% of the organisation, within a small temporal window, adds unprecedented value over those systems which might try and use a random sampling approach.

A safety culture survey is a structured assessment tool designed to gauge the safety climate within an organization. It involves collecting feedback from employees to understand their perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors related to safety. This type of survey is invaluable for several reasons:
Enhanced Safety Awareness: Safety culture surveys raise awareness about safety within the workplace. When employees are asked to evaluate safety practices, they are more likely to think critically about their actions and those of their colleagues.
Identifying Weaknesses: A safety culture survey helps pinpoint weak spots in safety protocols. It provides insights into where the organization might be falling short in terms of safety compliance, and where improvements are needed.
Employee Engagement: Involving employees in the safety process fosters a sense of ownership and commitment to safety. It makes them feel valued, and they are more likely to actively participate in safety initiatives.
Measuring Progress: Over time, conducting safety culture surveys at regular intervals allows an organization to measure its progress in improving safety. It helps track changes in safety attitudes and behavior and whether safety initiatives are effective.
The Survey Protocol uses wireless delivery systems to ensure maximal validity of individual results. There is no reliance upon levels of literacy and/or IT familiarity. What this means is that the final collations of survey results back to the customer have the highest levels of certainty that can be attained via a survey methodology.
Transformational Safety® strongly promotes and endorses the use of the wireless survey system as the primary means of group data collection for the reason described. We acknowledge though that there may be some circumstances where this is just not possible. In such situations the Survey Protocol can be implemented using a web based system which is custom developed for each delivery. If you wish to preview the survey experience you may contact us directly and we shall forward you a unique access token for your personal use. As this is for “experience” only you shall not be able to save your responses.
It is also possible that some organisations may have issues with being able to participate via the web based system. In such circumstances we also have an emailable forms system using Adobe PDF technologies.
When all else fails we can provide the Transformational Safety Survey as a “paper and pencil” to be posted in for compilation.

“I was fortunate to attend Transformational Safety’s Anatomies of Disaster Program. This was amongst the most powerful two days I have ever spent in a room. From the outset David Broadbent set the scene by dedicating the program to the late Rick Rescorla – the man who is credited with saving over 2700 lives on 9/11. Throughout the two days David would often respectively reflect and remember those who had died, or been injured, in the disasters we explored. He would say, and I will never forget, “…we must always remember those that lost their lives lift us up into the light of understanding”. I learnt so much.
